It's coming...the Marxist in D.C. will soon try to ban most guns, including pistols. The great Mulatto (Obama) will see to it that this happens...it is only a matter of time. God save us!!!

One other thing, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, our freedoms like freedom of speech, freedom of the press, right to jury trial; all of these freedoms were obtained by the GUN!!!!

When the ASSault weapon ban took effect in Kalifornia in 2000, hundreds of thousands of law-abiding citizens became felons overnight. You see, the law not only covered "black rifles", but all rifles that had removable magazines. Handguns, too. A magazine with the capacity to hold more than ten rounds attached to the firearm makes it an ASSault weapon (.22 caliber rifles with tubular magazines excepted). I had to buy new magazines for my handguns, manufactured so they could not be modified to hold more than ten rounds.

Think they can't pass ex-post facto laws? Kalifornia did and the Kalifonia Supreme Court said it was perfectly constitutional. Since then, KA legislators have given the state Attorney General, the power to declare more firearms as ASSault weapons by make and model!

You gun owners out there better join a gun rights organization and stop the gun grabbers now! Our girly man governor has turned ultra liberal all of a sudden and he likes to remind us that Kalifornia leads the nation. Please get involved to stop the gun grabbers now! Thanks,
Jon Davis

Jim Zumbo has every right to express his opinion. If he had stopped at "don't like em, don't shoot em, can't understand why anyone would," no harm. But he went on to liken all "black rifles", AR and AK class, to terrorist assault weapons. And the whole Brady bunch jumped on that immediately. Man who has made his living off the gun and hunting community for over forty years gives aid and comfort to the enemy. What did he expect?
As for the whole gun banning crowd, it's all about control. They don't care how many of us die as long as the rest of us look to them to tell us what to do. And there is not the least doubt in their minds that they know better than us common trash what's good for us. Anything that demeans us and elevates them is by their definition good.

people like Diane,Rosie,Bill Clinton??????????

The way I see them is they thirst for attention. Like they are important to the world. In my opinion they are vicious, have no class, and don't know what protects them from outside invasion. if they do they are the enemy of America.

A lot of this type of nonsense seems to be appearing now that the Democrats have taken control.

I and many others question the fact that isn't it illegal to tax, create registration or create laws aimed to regulate an individuals Constitutional rights???

Gun ownership is a right according to the Constitution, so why are the Democrats trying to disarm and tax the American public through permits, registrations and more laws that criminals do not obey anyway?? I think we are already paying enough in taxes and registrations. WHERE is this money going???

This has no effect on crime! The taxpayer does NOT realize that these laws being created are costing him or her more money, even though the politicians have created a consensus with the public that this is O.K., this is what you want, we WILL take care of you and it!

I'm pretty sure that we will see a similar situation arise like in Canada. The Canadian government has spent billions in registration and gun control, the Canadian people were misled to believe it would cost a lot less tax dollars, they are sick of it and questioning the government with, where is the money that was spent and why has it had NO EFFECT ON CRIME???? The latest I heard is that the Canadian registration of gun owners is coming to an end!

I am very surprised that the NRA, GOA, SAF, ISRA, etc., etc. have not embarked on the issue of regulation and taxation of RIGHTS!!

Gun owners need to start speaking up and educating the public about how their pockets will be affected by all of these nonsense laws, because the organizations that take all our donations to protect our rights are just not doing enough!!

We may need another Boston Tea Party!!

[...] Jon Davis, Nutria News Blog, shares some insight into a new piece of legislation that is being introduced in New York. Since, I know very little of the American Political process you should visit his blog and read is rant on this topic. A teaser for you, “…Essentially, it is the same legislation that has been voted down for the last six years, and concentrates, but is not limited to, so called “assault” rifles. The newly proposed legislation wants to limit magazine capacities, again, and limit if not out right ban, the sale and possession of any “assault” type weapon irregardless of whether it is a fully automatic firearm, or merely a semi-automatic. Wording also includes “any rifle with pistol grip” which would automatically preclude ownership of any AR type rifle, not to mention AK’s, CETME’s, or almost any other “military” style based firearm.
